Hey there,
I’m Nabil – the person behind VisitRoute.
For years, I’ve run into the same frustration with analytics tools: they either grab way more data than needed, or they’re so heavy and complicated that setting them up feels like building another website.
VisitRoute is my attempt to fix that. The idea is simple: you decide exactly what gets tracked. Nothing happens unless you make it happen – either by adding small data-track HTML attributes or calling lightweight JavaScript functions.
It’s still very early days. The service is in active development, and right now I’m focused on getting the core right:
- Self-hosted so the data stays with you.
- Lightweight so it won’t slow your site down.
- Flexible enough to handle clicks, form submissions, scroll depth, hovers, custom events, and more.
Later, there’ll be a dashboard for seeing sessions, user flows, and a fully customizable overview. The goal isn’t to build “yet another analytics tool,” but something that feels more like a toolkit – where you’re in charge from the first line of code.
If that sounds interesting, stick around. I’ll be sharing updates here as VisitRoute comes to life.
Thanks for reading,
Nabil
